The Nike Astro Grabber SP Bode Black Coconut Milk is part of a collaboration between Nike and Bode, a New York City–based label known for its fine craftsmanship and sentimental connection to the past. The sneaker updates the original football shoe from 1974 with premium materials and a retro colorway of black and Coconut. Although this version of the Astro Grabber replaces the original upper with suede and full-grain leather, the sneaker doesn’t lose its vintage aesthetic. For example, the outsole boasts a classic waffle-like pattern, designed for gripping the turf on slippery football fields. Like other collaborations between Bode and Nike, this sneaker hangs heritage charms from the laces. One charm is a silver baseball, while the other is a gold football.
